Definitely buy this one!.
Perfect for AirPlay! Faster, easier, and more reliable and consistent than CarLinkit 3 or CarLinkit 5! Just plug it in and it works! It was the cheapest one and I thought Id have to suffer for my frugality, but no! Its also tiny! Buy this one for sure!

Plugged it in, paired it, and it connected immediately. I drive daily for work, and the auto reconnect saves me a lot of hassle. Really happy I went wireless!

Works great out of the box
Picked this one due to its size and shape, being mostly flat and tucked out of the way. Setup was easy on an up-to-date iPhone 14 Pro and 2019 Lincoln Nautilus – just add a new Bluetooth device. It connects fast at startup, no compatibility issues in the first two 10-15 minute drives. Only minor inconvenience is that its a new car in CarPlay, so if you reconfigured any apps for a wired connection, that needs to be redone. It did seem to run a little warm, but given most of my drives are short, I dont expect thatll be a problem. And for longer drives, Ill likely use a wired connection to keep my phone charged. I cant comment on longevity or durability; hopefully it last a year or two until I get a car with native wireless CarPlay.

Bought this for my dads birthdayhes 67, not exactly tech-savvy. But he plugged it in and got it working in under 5 minutes. No app, no stress. That says a lot.
