Better, But Doesnt Quite Live Up to Claims.
Its quicker than my other to boot up, but not crazy fast. Ditto for swiping. The first two or three times. I used it. It gave me a screen with text on it that I hadnt seen before. However, it seems to have gone away after a week. One thing I like about it is that so far I havent had to unplug it and re-insert it. My old one will lose touchscreen ability once or twice a week. So far, this hasnt. OTOH, one thing I wish was better is for it to go straight to CarPlay. I still have to tap the dash half the time. Its quick, but why not have it auto-load?
Ok, just make sure you do. a OTA upgrade if you run into disconnects
If you experience the adapter dropping your connection continuously make sure you follow the directions in the user manual to do an OTA upgrade. Also if you find that the led that constantly changes color is annoying, like me, you can change the setting to blue, red, or green I believe and once it connects it will stay on that solid color. Other than those slight annoyances it does what it supposed to and it does not lag.
Ease of use.
Just received mine in the mail. that being said it was extremely easy to setup. It comes with both a type-C and USB extension if the module doesn’t fit completely in the base port. Only downside is it does take a couple. seconds to connect, but id rather be able to buckle up and get my attention straight to the road, no need to dig around trying to plug your stuff in before you go. I did get my discounted technically, as the box it shipped in came with a gift card for Sysqs randomly!!! So for me the price was cheaper then a normal charger. The slanted design on the back did make it a little awkward to get installed all the way but the dongle it came with came in clutch. Even attached to the dongle its not a big chunk of hardware you have to worry about. Its nice slim piece of hardware and they made a nice little unit.
Works well for the price.
Value wise this is a pretty good deal, the only downside Ive noticed with. this is the slight second delay in playing a new song and it actually updating on the CarPlay.
Works Wirelessly.
Seems to work great. Able to connect wirelessly with my Toyota RAV4 stock stereo system every time I get in my car without taking my phone out of my pocket.
